Meet Kim & Judy…
Kim Tran, Co- Owner & Senior Certified Wedding Planner (pictured left)
Kim is a visionaire whose style is elegant, classy, and sophisticated.
Prior to starting Pearl White Events she always dreamt of doing something that required her to use her creativity and organizational talent. She’s always had a knack for planning and upon graduating from the University of Central Florida with her Bachelor’s Degree in Administration she started free-lancing as an event planner. When she was introduced to the world of weddings she fell in love instantly. She applied her work ethics and knowledge from Corporate America to the business.

One characteristic that defines Judy is her desire to please others.
With a Degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida, Judy has been involved in the service industry with her family restaurant and working at hotels for over fifteen years, but her dream job was in the event industry. Planning her own wedding was the first time she was able to truly show her potential in weddings, and for her to carry out her lifelong dream.
Get to know Kim and Judy…
What do you love most about being a wedding planner?
Kim: I love the ability to turn my client’s thought or idea into reality.
Judy: Exceeding my clients’ expectations and making their dream wedding a reality.
What is your average week like?
Kim: Most of my time is spent in front of the computer (typically 8 AM to 6 PM or longer) 2 of those days are my networking days (going to luncheons, venue tours, vendor meetings), weekends are reserved for weddings and client meetings.
Judy: I still have my full time job working for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, so my time is split between the two. Generally, my nonprofit job is between the hours of 8-5pm, and the remainder of the day is spent towards Pearl White Events for meetings, networking, etc, from 5-2am.
What is the best way you have found to acquire clients?
Kim & Judy: The best way to gain new clients is through relationship building whether it be with previous clients, friends, family, or vendors.
Advice & words of encouragement for new/exciting planners?
Kim & Judy: Create a business plan, network with other like-minded people, and continue to learn. Attend conferences and seminars when possible and read daily. Owning and operating a business has many facets and the best tool you can have is your own self-motivation and drive. When in doubt, do 10 X the amount.
These are a few of their favorite things…
What is your favorite moment on wedding day?
Kim & Judy: Our favorite moment is to see our client’s reaction when we do the reception reveal. It fills us with so much happiness to see our clients in tears because that means we’ve done our jobs as their planners/coordinators.
What is one item you cannot live without on wedding day?Kim: I can’t live without walkie talkies w/ headset on the wedding day. It’s the best way to communicate with the team
Judy: Comfortable shoes! We’re always on the go, and on our feet for 99.9% of the day.
What is your favorite activity when not coordinating a wedding?
Kim: My favorite activities when not coordinating a wedding would be going on venue tours, reading, and meeting with up other vendors at luncheons!
Judy: I enjoy crafting, traveling, going on adventures, and finding hidden jewels wherever I am traveling. I love trying new foods and enjoy learning about other cultures.
