What inspired you to become a certified wedding planner?
I love “LOVE”. Love can conquer all things. That is what inspires me. To be surrounded, even for just a moment, in LOVE.
What do you love most about being a wedding planner?
I love the interaction that I get to have with brides and grooms.
How has your certification and membership with The Bridal Society helped you and your career?
The Certification/Membership with The Bridal Society has helped me see things in a different light. It clearly has opened up new avenues.
What does your average week look like?
On an average work week, my mornings starts out with the best cup of sunshine by taking my beautiful 7 year granddaughter, Sofia, to school. After our short discussion of how great her day is going to be, I am empowered to make my day just as awesome. I have a very busy work week but I make sure that I take time for myself and family. Family is most important to me and that makes my week much more enjoyable.
What is one item you can’t live without on a wedding day?
What type of client do you attract?
I tend to attract all types of clients – from country girls to city chic!
What is your favorite moment on wedding day?
My favorite moment is when the Bride walks down the aisle. All eyes are on her and they are blown away!
What advice can you give and/or have you received that you can pass on to new/existing planners?
Advice I would give to other wedding planners: Make sure you are true to yourself. Be patient, very patient. It’s a lot of fun but you have to put in a lot of time and effort.
What advice do you have for engaged couples?
Advice for engaged couples: I would have to say is to be open to suggestions. Be patient with each other and to have fun with the whole process.
