When asked to share with us a little bit about herself and her business, Melanie said, “My name is Melanie and I am the Owner and Founder of Melanie Paige Events + Design, an Award Winning Wedding Planning Firm, as well as a Certified Wedding Planner through The Bridal Society. With over 5 years of experience, I have done weddings all over the country and would love to be a part of your special day! Not only am I a Certified Wedding Planner, but I also have a degree in Event Management from High Point University. My knowledge is versed in all events, with weddings being my main expertise. As your event planner, my goal is to bring all of your ideas and turn them into reality. What inspired you to become a wedding planner?
What inspired me to become a Wedding Planner is the fact that I honestly love LOVE. Being able to use my creative side while helping others plan their dream day to the one they love most is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.
What do you love most about being a wedding planner?
What I love most about being a Wedding Planner is that I get to make couples’ dreams a reality. They have been thinking about this day for so long and the fact that I get to bring it to life for them is absolutely amazing.
How has your certification and membership with The Bridal Society helped you and your career?
The Bridal Society has helped me really understand what all goes into Wedding Planning as well as how to grow my business and make it one that I am proud of. The Bridal Society has also connected me with planners from all over the nation that also help one another whenever someone needs it.
What does your average week look like?
My average week is filled with meetings every day from 10am-6pm and traveling all over Florida to meet with Clients and Vendors. In between those meetings I am answering phone calls as well as emails. Every weekend then consists of weddings!
What is one item you can’t live without on a wedding day?
The one item that I can not live without on Wedding Day is my Wedding Planner Binder! It has all of the vendor contracts, Wedding Day documents, and my Timeline. It is my LIFE on Wedding Day.
What type of client do you attract?
I attract couples who really want their wedding to reflect their personality as well as be something unique. They are couples who want something modern but yet still very romantic.
What is your favorite moment on wedding day?
My favorite moment on wedding day is when my couples see each other the first time, whether it be a First Look or walking down the aisle to each other. It always brings tears to my eyes and will always be the most beautiful thing I see on Wedding Day.
What advice can you give and/or have you received that you can pass on to new/existing planners?
The advice that I would give is to be yourself! Everyone (clients and vendors) loves to see who you truly are, and your personality is what attracts your ideal clients. Always keep in mind that your vibe attracts your tribe!
What advice do you have for engaged couples?
Don’t stress out! I know that it is hard to stress out over the little details, but at the end of the day the most important thing is that you two will be getting married to each other. This is a huge reason on why everyone recommends hiring a Wedding Planner/Coordinator. Let us handle everything for you so that you can enjoy your special day and create those moments that will last forever with the ones that you love the most.
